Spend an evening with a pirate! Robert Jacob, historian, re-enactor and author, will take you on a journey through the daily lives of the pirates of the golden age of piracy.
Accompanied by his wife, Anne Jacob, who will add the woman’s perspective to pirate life, you will get a true taste of what it was like to serve on board a pirate vessel. Come aboard and see what pirates actually wore, the type of ships they used, and how they planned and executed some of the most cunningly successful heists ever known.
Jacob is the author of the recently-published “A Pirate’s Life in the Golden Age of Piracy.”
Designed to provide up-close access to presenters and the History Center’s galleries, Sangria and Stories is limited to 25 attendees, and includes parking in the History Center garage, a glass of Columbia Cafe sangria and an in-gallery presentation. Pre-registration is required.
