Archives Awareness Week: Downtown Tampa Walking Tour

 Join the History Center for a special Archives Awareness Week Friday tour. This 90-minute walking tour of Tampa’s historic downtown. This guided tour highlights the iconic landmarks, colorful characters, groundbreaking events behind what was once the entire city of Tampa, the first economic hub on Florida’s west coast.

You’ll stroll past City Hall, Sacred Heart Church, the Floridan Palace Hotel and even Tampa’s oldest bar, The Hub!

Tours meet in the center of Lykes Gaslight Park (241 E Madison St). Participants will walk about a mile along public sidewalks & streets. You may wish to wear comfortable outdoor attire and bring bottled water.
