Walking Tour

The walking tour features the Historic Black Central Avenue neighborhood and business district, including Perry Harvey, Sr Park, Saunders library, downtown train station, and Jackson Boarding House.

Overview

Grade levels: 4 -12th grade

Duration: 60 - 90 minute walking tour

Suggested tour time: 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Limited capacity: 30 students, plus chaperones

Reservations required

Participants will walk approximately one mile on public sidewalks and brick streets.

Meeting location in close proximity to the Central Avenue district. Easy parking and access. Address will be forthcoming. All outdoors with restrooms and picnic spots available.

Required Teachers or Chaperones - 1 per 10 students – Free

Additional adults - $10
