Cast a line into more than a century of Florida’s fishing history in this special traveling exhibit at the Tampa Bay History Center. The Lure of Florida Fishing features more than 50 locally made lures, rare artifacts, vintage photographs, secret fishing maps, and original artwork that bring the state’s angling legacy to life. From early tarpon expeditions to celebrity anglers like Ernest Hemingway and Ted Williams, explore how fishing shaped Florida’s culture, tourism and conservation efforts.

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
