SUMMARY:FAMU Annual Farm Fest
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Florida Emancipation Day\nOn May 20\, 1865\, President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was announced in Tallahassee\, Florida. The Tampa Bay History Center in partnership with Florida A&M University’s Brooksville Agricultural and Environmental Research Station\, invites the community to the FAMU Annual Farm Fest on Saturday\, May 16\, 2026\, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chinsegut Hill Historic Site in Brooksville. \nWe will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. with the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation\, followed by a processional to the FAMU Farm Fest. Join us for guided tours of the historic site\, an agricultural showcase\, a health expo\, and hands-on demonstrations.
