Discover why Tampa’s historic cigars were called clear Havana cigars\, how lectors shaped daily life inside the factories and how the cigar industry influenced Tampa’s development and identity. \nAmy has served as a docent at the Ybor City Museum State Park for five years and works part-time at the Henry B. Plant Museum. This $5 downtown event is designed for Gen Z and millennials ages 18 to 30 looking for something different from another bar or restaurant trivia night. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the History Center’s Crow’s Nest for pizza and snacks and browse our temporary exhibit “America at the Crossroads: The Guitar and a Changing Nation.” When trivia begins\,  teams will compete for prizes while answering questions tied to history\, civics and American culture. Tickets include pizza\, drinks\, snacks and time in the gallery. Join us as we travel back to 1814\, when Washington D.C. was under British attack during the “Second War of Independence\,” and the very bricks and mortar of American democracy were reduced to smoking rubble. For first-time visitors\, a gallery tour provides a focused introduction to the History Center’s collections and a strong starting point for exploring the galleries.
