Ahoy Matey! Make your own Pirate Sword!

In the Treasure Seekers exhibit, you can learn all about the pirates!

Here are directions to make your own pirate sword at home!

Cardboard

Scissors

Paint

Paint Brush

Aluminum Foil

Glue

Draw your sword on a large piece of cardboard and cut it out.

Paint the handle on both sides. Red, brown, or gold are good choices. Allow to dry.

Wrap some aluminum foil to the blade and wrap. You can add some glue if you would like to make it more secure. Allow to dry.

Don’t forget to make a pirate hat to go along with your sword! Maybe an eye patch, too?.
