Using documentation of plantations and slave histories, students will learn what life was like for both plantation owners and enslaved people prior to Emancipation, with a special focus on local sites, such as the Gamble Mansion and Chinsegut Hill.

The last session is a morning field trip to Chinsegut Hill in Brooksville (students provide their own transportation or carpool).

This three-session course takes place on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. beginning Sept. 9.  Registration is via USF/OLLI
