Duckwall Lecture

The annual Duckwall Lecture is made possible by the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation. Established in 1983, the foundation supports initiatives that make Florida history accessible to the Tampa Bay community and advance research of the state’s history.

17th Annual Duckwall Lecture

Join us for the 17th Annual Duckwall Lecture as we welcome back Gary Mormino, Ph.D., on April 22, to the Tampa Bay History Center for an evening of history, storytelling and unforgettable characters. Presented with support from the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation, this year’s lecture marks the 140th anniversary of the first cigar rolled in Ybor City.

Duckwall Lecture: John Costin

Join local artist and collector John Costin on April 12 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. as he discusses the fine art of etched printing dating back to the 15th century and today.

History Adventure Camp

Camp season is here, and there’s plenty for young explorers to discover at the Tampa Bay History Center. History Adventure Camp brings Florida stories out of the classroom and into the museum galleries through hands-on activities, games, and discovery. Space is limited to keep groups small, so register today and send your camper on a history adventure this summer.
