Tampa Bay History Center to reopen Oct. 14 after Hurricane Milton closure
TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2024) — The Tampa Bay History Center, located at 801 Water St., will resume regular hours at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, following a precautionary closure due to Hurricane Milton.
The History Center’s facility weathered the storm well, and we are prioritizing the safety of our staff and visitors as we all focus on clean-up efforts and helping our neighbors recover.
The closure has postponed the Nell Ward Lecture on Cartography, the OLLI-USF presentation “Tampa Navigates Prohibition Laws and Loopholes,” and weekend tours at the Chinsegut Hill Historic Site. General admission eTickets purchased during the closure period will be honored. Event registrants will be emailed with updated dates and times for rescheduled programs.
Please check our events calendar or subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter for updates on upcoming talks and tours.
