We add volunteers to our team throughout the year but push to get a new class started every fall so they can experience the start of the tour season. If you are able, please attend one of the one-hour information sessions. We will provide more details about the volunteering experience and answer questions.

Education Volunteer Training

Annual history and skills training in late September and ad hoc training throughout the year. Volunteer training includes on-site training sessions, “shadowing” experienced volunteers, and self-study.

Qualifications

Must have curiosity and willingness to learn local history. Must have physical and mental agility to work two hours at a time.

Commitment

At least 6 hours per month to maintain active status, except for special events, which might be ‘as needed.’
