About Heather Culligan
Heather Culligan is an accomplished museum professional with significant experience in collections management and registration in history museums and historic structures. Currently, she holds the position of Curator of Collections at the Tampa Bay History Center, where she has served since 2018.
Prior to joining the Tampa Bay History Center, Heather worked as the Curator of Collections and the Museum Operations Manager at Heritage Village in Largo, where she oversaw the preservation of the museum collection and over thirty historic structures. Heather also spent six years as the Collections Manager at the Atlanta History Center, overseeing the collection of 50,000+ objects and three historic structures. While at the Atlanta History Center, she also served as the co-instructor for the graduate-level course Collections Management in Museums at the University of West Georgia. Heather is the co-author and co-editor of Basic Condition Reporting, 4th Edition and 5th Edition. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in history from the University of West Georgia. Heather’s extensive museum and collections management experience reflects her dedication to preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
