Step back in time with a tour of Tampa’s history through a stunning collection of maps at the Tampa Bay History Center. Each map provides a unique window into the lives of Florida’s early inhabitants, from indigenous tribes and Spanish explorers to settlers and pioneers who shaped the region. This tour highlights centuries of stories, showing how geography, exploration, and community have influenced Florida’s past and continue to shape its future.

Museum hours
The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Admission prices
College Student: $16.95
Senior (60+): $16.95
Child (0-6): Free
Members: Free
**First responders and veterans may receive discounted admission at Visitor Services.
