OLLI-USF: FDR’s New Deal

Well into the Great Depression, newly elected Franklin Delano Roosevelt needed solutions to the nation’s banking, unemployment, and environmental problems. He decided to go big. Join us to discuss the dramatic changes implemented to save the country, their successes, failures, and long-term impacts. Shelley Blood, Fred Hearns, Ross Lamoreaux, Janet Lorenzo, and Carl Zielonka, DDS, lead this OLLI-USF course from 10 a.m. – noon on Oct. 4, 11, and 18. Register through the OLLI-USF website. History Center members can have their OLLI-USF member fee (not the course fee) waived by calling Charisse Dixon at (813) 974-5848.

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
