Walking Tour: Downtown Tampa

Looking for a unique activity to do in Tampa Bay? Join the Tampa Bay History Center for an immersive downtown walking tour. This guided trek leads you past some of the city’s most storied landmarks, including City Hall, Sacred Heart Church, the Floridan Palace Hotel, and The Hub, Tampa’s oldest bar. Along the route, your guide will share the stories that connect these sites to the city’s vibrant past.
The tour lasts 90 minutes, begins at 10 a.m., and is limited to 25 guests for a more personal experience. The route covers about one mile along sidewalks and brick streets, so comfortable shoes and outdoor attire are recommended.
Your starting point is Lykes Gaslight Park at 400 N. Franklin St., right in the center of downtown. Street parking is available nearby, making it easy to begin your journey. Advance tickets are required, and private tours can be booked by calling (813) 228-0097.
