This camp features three American Girl characters from different periods in history–Kaya (1764), Addy (1864), and Molly (1944). Campers (ages 7-11) get hands-on with history through games, crafts, activities, gallery time, and guest speakers. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Extended care available. LEARN MORE
Join the Tampa Bay History Center’s curator of Black history, Fred Hearns, and local historian E.J. Salcines to learn more about Tampa’s past. This free lecture takes place at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 10, at Old City Hall, Council Chambers (315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, 3rd floor). Free, and no registration is required.

We add volunteers to our team throughout the year but push to get a new class started every fall so they can experience the start of the tour season. The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
**First responders and veterans may receive discounted admission at Visitor Services.
