It was a time of stunning boom and bust episodes, an era of extremes, and a decade of historic changes that point to Florida’s future. Join eminent historian and author Gary Mormino, Ph.D., as he discusses early twenty-first-century Florida and its connections to some of the most significant events in contemporary American history.
The 13th annual Duckwall Lecture is made possible by the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation. Established in 1983, the foundation supports initiatives that make Florida history accessible to the Tampa Bay community and advance research of the state’s history.
