Audrey Chapuis is the Frank E. Duckwall President & CEO of the Tampa Bay History Center. An experienced leader of cultural, educational and academic institutions, she brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to public service, scholarship and community engagement to the History Center.
Before joining the Tampa Bay History Center, Chapuis served as Executive Director of the American Library in Paris, a century-old nonprofit cultural institution and the largest English-language lending library in continental Europe. During more than a decade living in Paris, she led the Library through a period of significant growth and strengthened its role as a center for ideas, literature and international exchange.
Earlier in her career, Chapuis spent a decade in Chicago, including serving as Head of Access Services at the Pritzker Legal Research Center at Northwestern University School of Law.
A native of Austin, Texas, Chapuis holds a bachelor’s degree in English and American literature from Harvard University, a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris with a specialization in digital transformation.
She serves on the boards of the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce, News Decoder and Marymount International School in Paris. Her interests include writing, reading, sketching, fitness and exploring the history and culture of the Tampa Bay region.
