Tampa Bay History Center wins multiple Best of the Best 2025 awards
TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay History Center has been recognized in the Tampa Bay Times Best of the Best 2025 People’s Choice Awards, earning gold in three categories: local tourist attraction, museum and wedding venue. The History Center also received a bronze award for gift shop.
The Best of the Best awards celebrate businesses and organizations across more than 250 categories. More than 417,000 votes were cast this year by readers throughout Tampa Bay and the North Suncoast.
From 2023 to 2025, the History Center has earned a total of four gold awards and one bronze, underscoring its standing as one of the region’s leading cultural institutions.
“We are grateful to our community for their continued support and recognition,” said Lisa-Perry Richardson, interim president and CEO and chief development officer at the Tampa Bay History Center. “These awards highlight the pride Tampa Bay takes in its history, and we’re honored to serve as a place where our region’s stories are celebrated and shared.”
Located on Tampa’s Riverwalk, the Tampa Bay History Center is open daily and features three floors of exhibits exploring 12,000 years of Florida history, along with classrooms, event spaces and the Columbia Cafe.
The Best of the Best program is organized by the Tampa Bay Times and relies on community nominations and votes. Winners are recognized as top businesses in their categories, reflecting strong local support.
