A Juneteenth Jubilee

Join Tampa’s Black History Museum and the Tampa Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for A Juneteenth Jubilee, a concert and celebration recognizing Juneteenth and the history of emancipation.
Featuring multiple performers and artists, this special program uses music, movement, spoken word, and cultural expression to explore the meaning of Juneteenth beyond a single day in Galveston, Texas. Guests will learn how emancipation unfolded at different times in different places, including Florida, where freedom was proclaimed in Tallahassee on May 20, 1865.
Designed for history enthusiasts and community members of all ages, A Juneteenth Jubilee connects performance with history to examine how freedom was announced, remembered and celebrated across generations.
