Living History Saturday: Clara Barton

$16.95Betty Clark reenacts Clara Barton, the pioneering battlefield nurse who began her career at age 11 by caring for her brother. Barton is best known for her contributions during the Civil War and for founding the American Red Cross, solidifying her legacy as a humanitarian and key figure in nursing and disaster relief.
Your journey through time awaits! Explore local history brought to life by in-gallery historians on selected Saturdays. Presentations are at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Their stories offer more than just a museum experience and are included with general admission tickets.

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
