$20
Fortune Taylor Historic Marker

Celebrate Women’s History Month by tracing the journey of Fortune Taylor, a formerly enslaved person who was a true Tampa pioneer, business owner, and community leader. She acquired over 30 acres on the Hillsborough River’s eastern bank in the 1800s.

Our 90-minute walking tour highlights Taylor’s homestead location, the origin of Fortune Street in downtown Tampa, and the Fortune Taylor Bridge.

The tour starts at 10 a.m., accommodating up to 25 participants for a one-mile walk on sidewalks and streets. Wear comfortable walking gear.

The tour’s starting point will be emailed with your eTicket.
