OLLI-USF: Florida’s Land Boom

Tampa grew a lot in the early 1900s – its neighborhoods, homes, and hotels. Historian Rodney Kite-Powell will share these changes using artifacts and maps from that era. History Center docents Carl Zielonka and Garry Moore will add to this by highlighting new Bungalow-style homes and grand hotels, such as the Don Cesar, Vinoy, Fenway, and Floridan.

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
