OLLI-USF: Tampa at the Turn of the 20th Century

Tampa is now a thriving modern city, but what was it like at the turn of the 20th century? This three-session course, led by History Center docents, lays out some early changes: Henry B. Plant and the railroad’s arrival, Florida’s agricultural roots, and a thriving cigar industry with a unique immigrant culture.

Museum hours

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
