Teacher Appreciation Day
More than 12,000 students visit the Tampa Bay History Center each year, thanks to the dedicated educators who make those experiences possible.
To show our appreciation, we’re inviting educators to a Teacher Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 23.
Enjoy complimentary admission, light refreshments, and time to connect with fellow educators from across the region.
The Education Department staff will be available to share information about our curriculum-aligned field trips, digital tools, and teaching resources. Our expert docents will also offer insights into how museum exhibits can enhance your classroom instruction.
Teachers with a valid ID receive free admission plus three additional guest tickets (one adult and two youth). Pre-registration is required.

Museum hours
The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
