Madame Fortune Taylor Walking Tour

John F. Germany Public Library 900 N Ashley Dr, Tampa

Celebrate Women's History Month by tracing the journey of Fortune Taylor, a formerly enslaved person who was a true Tampa pioneer, business owner, and community leader. She acquired over 30 acres on the Hillsborough River's eastern bank in the 1800s. Our 90-minute walking tour highlights Taylor's homestead location, the origin of Fortune Street in downtown

**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
