Pickle Party: Pickling Workshop

On Oct. 3 at 10 a.m., the History Center will host a pickle workshop on the Upper Terrace overlooking the Garrison Channel.
Designed for beginners and suitable for everyone, this hands-on class covers all the basics of pickling. You’ll pick up tips and tricks for pickling all kinds of produce and head home with recipes and four different pickled goodies!
Presented in partnership with Tip Top Canning Co., this special Pickle Party brings pickling into the History Center. Explore the history of food preservation and Tampa’s culinary traditions, enjoy museum admission, and discover the delicious connection between pickles and one of Tampa’s most iconic foods – the Cuban sandwich.
All supply costs are included in the class fee, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sample and learn along the way. Come for the pickles. Stay for the history. Leave with four delicious creations to enjoy at home.
Tickets are $45 each, or $40 each when you buy 2 or more.
