Central Avenue Walking Tour

Take a journey through Tampa’s historic Central Avenue district, known as the “Harlem of the South.” Delve into the tales of this African American community from the 1890s to the 1960s, exploring landmarks around Tampa’s Black History Museum and Perry Harvey Sr. Park. Walking tours are available on select Fridays, starting at 10 a.m. and

The history center is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

**Galleries are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and open until 3 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
